[letter #3] corners of Spain
dear xx,
when i was exploring Spain, i found myself drawn to corners.
corners are interesting because perspective is everything. when the corner is pointing inwards, it provides a sense of safety, security, and belonging. when the corner is protruding outwards, it feels piercing, and makes you feel as if you’re excluded from its inner world. when standing on top of a corner, the vast world you see makes you realize that the bubble you were living in wasn’t all there was to life. when standing at the bottom of a corner, you’re eager to see the landscape at the top. when standing on one side of the corner, you become curious to see what’s on the other side. when standing in front of a corner, both its illuminated and dark facets show.
explore the entire corner, and you get a full view.
perhaps our sphere Earth is that of infinite corners, packed so tightly they become seamless into a smooth curvature. although it may not be possible to explore each and every corner from left to right, top to bottom, recognizing the complexity of each corner is something we can do to fully appreciate all the diversity our Earth nurtures.
Spain was one such corner of the Earth’s sphere that i was able to explore, although there is much more to learn and see. in hopes to share its beauty, i present to you, the corners of Spain.
love xx
